The Institute for Religion in an Age of Science will hold its 2022 conference in Star Island, New Hampshire from June 25 through July 2 on the topic of identity, specifically on “Cross Cultural Conversations on Identity.”

The focus will be on using multi-religious and scientific frameworks including biological, psychological, sociological and anthropological considerations to explore core concepts of identity. Organizers are now looking for paper submissions, which are due in February.

Potential papers could explore: scientific considerations of self; how world religious traditions identify the individual and otherness; and the influences of blind spots and biases. More information on the conference and the organization can be found at the IRAS website.
